About
Elitsa Marielle is an award-winning writer/director whose work explores themes of identity, feminism, and the lives of those who exist outside the norm. As a French-Bulgarian filmmaker based in London, she draws on her heritage to create stories that transcend cultural and generational boundaries. She holds an MA in Directing and Cinematography from the London Film School.
Her graduation film, Outside of Time, had its World Premiere at EnergaCamerimage 2024 in the TalentLab section, and was also selected for the International Children's Film Festival Cinemira (Official Selection, 2024). Her previous short was selected for the Big Fridge International Film Festival (Best Short Film – Official Selection, 2023). Elitsa is currently developing two feature films and seeking funding for her next short fiction and animated project.
Elitsa is currently developing her debut feature film, Tzigani, which was selected for the Reykjavík International Film Festival’s Talent Lab.
