In a small Bulgarian village, the men are preparing for the traditional Kukeri festival. Mila, a 12-year-old girl, is making her own mask in the hope of taking part. However, her mother has other plans, as she needs to prepare the traditional lunch for the men before they leave.

Will Mila be forced to stay at home, or will she finish her mask in time to join the dance?
