Tzigani tells the story of a Bulgarian Romani family who are the first generation to distance themselves from their original community in an attempt to integrate into Bulgarian society. After a corrupt businessman threatens their livelihood, the family struggle to secure their land.

Cut off from both society and their own community, they are under increasing financial and emotional pressure.

They will risk everything to turn things around, but when thirteen-year-old Anna rebels, the fragile order collapses.

Forced to unite, they must choose between their two worlds, which confronts them with the brutal reality of a corrupt system.
